I've been told by several people that I'd love Terry Pratchett. So when I got the chance to pick up a whole load of them really cheap in a book sale, I decided to stock up. I didn't manage to get book one, so they sat on my shelf for a while. Then I decided I needed to sort my shelves, in anticipation of downsizing. So I checked this out of the library. I enjoyed it, but I'm not sure it was the awesome introduction to the series I was expecting. I think maybe because I didn't manage to read it in a short time, but had to snatch instalments, it didn't quite have the impact I'd hoped for. It did engage me enough to want to read on.
